Our family became complete with a beautiful dark haired,
albeit darn stubborn, daughter...it's hard to believe a month has
passed since she was placed in our arms and lives. She is such a
remarkable little girl, adapting and adjusting to everything our family
does. She absolutely loves her brothers. And they do anything and '
everything to make their sister laugh and smile. Things we have learned
about her in the last 30 days...
-She will eat ANYTHING you put in front of her! I wish my boys were like this!
-Her favorite food is-ANYTHING! Most of all, hard boiled eggs and sugar wafers
-She LOVES to play outside-she is most happy then
-Her first English word was -Ma, but can now say about 20 words in English.
If you tell her to repeat what you say, she will.

-She loves to shop-God knew she was meant for me1

-She is VERY STUBBORN....
-She loves to dress herself

-She is totally potty trained-yay!

-She loves our dogs, and just about any other animal there is.

-She is getting better with going to other people, not so shy anymore
We are so grateful to her foster
family and the orphanage for taking such wonderful care of her and
loving her. We have pictures from her foster family, and one day,
when she's older, we will share these special pictures with her.
Her life has been turned upside down, and she was taken
a world away from all she's known..
But, she is now forever
a Weaver....until she gets married of course, in about 40 years....

  1. That is simply too cool!
I'm amazed at how far she has come so quickly. We are hopeful after reading and watching your experience that ours will be similar. I have to admit I'm really hoping that our Shelby adjusts that quickly, but I'm preparing for her not too...
Thank you so much for sharing everything with us that are in this wait behind you!

  2. What a cutie! She has adjusted really quickly. We got our Kalia almost 5 weeks ago, and she is adjusting quite well too. It's amazing how quickly they bounce back from all they've had to endure.

(I swear I have that same outfit Chloe is wearing in the last picture. So cute!)
